Here's an important heads up for our loyal customers all over the world: our Japanese staff will have a long holiday from April 27 through May 6. This unprecedented 10-day break is due to a historical moment in the country's history: Japan will celebrate the Imperial succession and the start of a new era on May 1 with a festive and extended Golden Week holiday.
Emperor Akihito of Japan is set to abdicate on 30 April 2019, which will make him the first Japanese Emperor to do so in over two hundred years. This marks the end of the Heisei period, and will precipitate numerous festivities leading up to the accession of his successor, Crown Prince Naruhito.
HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU
- Orders placed right before / during / right after the holiday break will take a little longer than usual to process and ship.
- Pre-orders of custom made belts, uniforms and gloves are also impacted and will probably take 10 work days longer than usual to prepare.
- Your order will get in line and be tackled starting on Tuesday, May 7 when our Japanese team resumes their work.
Our customer service team remains operational as always so if you have any questions, just reach out to us 😉.
We will evidently do our best to prepare your order and dispatch it as soon as possible. You will be kept informed with completion estimates and tracking updates so you always know what the current status is.
