Yes! Many of our international customers visiting Japan choose to order their gear on ChokeSports.com and have it shipped directly to their hotel, Airbnb, or other temporary accommodation. This is a great option if you want to pick up your new martial arts equipment while you’re in Japan and avoid international shipping fees.
How it works
- Place your order on ChokeSports.com as you normally would.
- At checkout, enter the hotel or accommodation address in Japan as the shipping address.
- Include the hotel name in the Company field.
- Add your full name exactly as it appears on your booking, so the front desk can match the delivery to your reservation.
- Use your own contact details (email + mobile) so we can keep you updated on shipping and delivery.
Timing your order
- We recommend placing your order at least 7–10 days before your arrival in Japan, to ensure enough time for processing and delivery.
- If your stay is short, please check shipping estimates carefully. Many of our items are made to order in Japan and may take longer to ship. If in doubt, contact us before placing your order.
Delivery details
- Your order will be shipped with Sagawa Express and you'll receive tracking info by email.
- Most hotels in Japan are familiar with handling deliveries for guests. They’ll usually hold your parcel at the front desk until you check in.
- Be sure to notify the hotel that you’re expecting a delivery under your name.
Important notes
- If your stay in Japan is shorter than the item’s production or delivery time, we recommend having the order shipped to your home address abroad instead.
- Custom gear (like embroidered belts or custom-size gis) will almost always take longer to prepare, so plan ahead.
