Note: Custom orders are made in Isami's upgraded single weave polyblend only. The 100% cotton double weave is not available in custom sizing. No changes, cancellations, or returns are accepted once cutting begins, so please double-check every detail before you confirm.
A Fit That Holds Up Under Pressure
- Tailored to your exact measurements so nothing bunches, drags, or rides up mid-scramble.
- Shrinkage calculated before cutting so the gi fits correctly after two or three wash cycles.
- Lightweight single weave polyblend keeps weight low and dry time short across back-to-back sessions.
Both models use a 35% cotton / 65% polyester single weave, cut and sewn in Japan. The JJ-470 Classic runs the IBJJF-legal competition cut refined with ChokeSports. The JJ-500 Japan uses an anti-shrink sashiko weave rated near 2.8% vertical shrinkage. Send your body weight, height, and desired gi dimensions, and we handle every measurement from there.

- JJ-470 Isami Classic keeps its branding to discreet Isami embroidery on the sleeves and beside the side slits, leaving the rest as open canvas for your patches.
- JJ-500 Isami Japan gives you the Tiger Series, with dual chest embroidery and a full ukiyo-e tiger in breaking waves across the back.
- White, blue, or black lets you show up on the mat looking exactly the way you intend to.
The JJ-500 carries two phrases on its back panel: 虎嘯風生, when the tiger roars the wind rises, and 明鏡止水, a clear mirror and still water. The JJ-470 carries nothing but the weight of the oldest name in Japanese budo manufacturing. Both are woven and sewn in Kuki, Saitama, by the same hands that build for Japan's serious competitors. ChokeSports.com has been Isami's official international partner since 2006, and remains your only authorized source for a custom Isami gi outside Japan.
