BELT MODEL: Which one is right for you?
➡️ F-450 has a broken-in feel and is easy to tie. This is a slim belt with a stiff core. When this belt starts to fray, the white inner core will show.
➡️ F-742 feels hard and sturdy around the waist. This is a standard thickness belt with a stiff core. When this belt starts to fray, the black inner core will show.
➡️ F-700 is the thickest and hardest of all our belts, so it takes longer to "break" than other belts. When this belt starts to fray, the white inner core will show.
➡️ F-910 is wrapped in a textured fabric that will fray faster than other belts in order to show its red core. This is a standard thickness belt with a stiff core.
🧵 CUSTOM EMBROIDERY
Personalize your new jiu-jitsu black belt with beautiful embroideries in English and in Japanese. There are six fonts to choose from and 10 different colors. We reserve about 8in (20cm) of each belt end for embroideries. Long text will be resized to fit within that space.
INTEGRATED EMBROIDERY
Our Isami BJJ Black Belts feature integrated embroideries. This is the most premium method of embroidery and also the most resistant. We embroider the fabric first and then we make the belt. There will be no trail on the reverse side, but the belt stitch lines will be over the embroidery. The final product is unique and stunning!
📏 BELT WIDTH: 42mm, 45mm, 50mm
Now you can choose how wide your Isami BJJ Black Belt should be. The standard belt width is 42mm (1.65in) but we also make wider variations that are 45mm (1.80in) and 50mm (2.00in). They are especially popular with bigger fighters/instructors who need a belt that will match their large frame.
RANK BAR AND DEGREES
You can choose what your rank bar will look like: the classic red with white borders, plain red, plain navy blue or even plain white, as some top fighters have been using lately. According to IBJJF regulations, the black belt must have a 4in (10cm) rank bar on one end. You can also order embroidered degrees that will never fall off, unlike the usual sports tape stripes.
🚿 BELT WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
In Japan it is uncommon to wash the obi martial arts belt. However many of our international customers like to wash their belts. We recommend hand washing (with hand soap) and hang drying in the shade.
Please note that regular washing will accelerate the belt's aging process and might cause it to shrink further than estimated. It will still be functional and last for many years though.

Good stuff. I requested a scorpion embroidery on the rank bar itself which is highly irregular. I submitted the wrong design at first and had to correct it. Every step of the way the customer support was great and the product is amazing. Definitely worth the money and the wait.

Exactly as I’d hoped!. Where to begin….I’ve had my eye on a custom Isami belt for a while and recently after being awarded my black belt, purchased one.I also purchased one as a gift for my instructor.The belts were EXACTLY as I’d hoped. They are perfect! They fit well, feel great and were delivered within the timeframe promised - with regular updates! The custom belt interface is very easy to use and has a lot of information to ensure you are confident with your purchase.For my purchase we used custom logos for the embroidery and the fact that I had a email to confirm the design really meant a lot to me - making me feel that chokesports cared as much about my design as I did.The long and short of this is that I would, and intend, to buy more custom belts in the future from chokesports.

Beautiful belt, great materials and an aura of Japanese quality. This is a gift for our beloved sensei and I must say I am amazed by the quality and the tremendous job the team has done with our club logo which is less than optimal for embroidery due to the curvature of the letters, nevertheless it turned out amazing. The golden embroidery of Paweł’s name in connection with the club logo on the stripe panel side makes for a very classic, old school belt like the one Renzo or Roger uses. The belt fabric feels like satin, the colours are rich and the stiching is almost surgical. The wooden box is a nice finishing touch, perfect for an offering during a kagami-biraki or club birthday party.

Isami thick core BJJ black belt Made in Japan. Very nice belt. Construction and quality is top notch (made in Japan F-700Thickness was not a spec listed but I measure it at approx. 8mmStayed tied to my surprise entire class. Expect this to be one of my go to belts.

Exactly as I envisioned.. What can I say? I’ve ordered several belts through Chokesports over the years, and they never disappoint. I have a logo that was complicated/intricate in terms of colors and design, but Chokesports was able to stitch it very nicely. It looks great!!! Best belt maker there is.

Great belt. I always have a great experience with Isami. The only thing I don’t like is the stitching for the degree stripe. I wish it was the same kind of stitching as the instructor bars. Besides that, it is a great belt. I love all my Isami belts.

Black belt with Kanji. The stay and crew at Choke Sports are just awesome. I made an order with shipping set to come to Canada then I realized I was travelling to Japan and reached out to them. I asked it they could have the belt ready in time for my visit and if they could have it sent to my hotel. They got back to me right away and made it easy. The minute I walked into my hotel the stay presented the belt….So cool. The quality is second to non and what I have come to expect from products made in Japan. You guys rock!!!!

SUPERKNOTERS - Read on. I’ll be reviewing 2 belts! I hope this helps others with what was a difficult decision but first, I must mention Lisa Andersen and the service received for the order - that was second to none. Belt 1 F-450 - The most popular on the site and I went with that one for that reason. I’m also 5’6 / 165cm and took the A1 as felt the others might be too large. The belt itself felt stiff at first but I also felt it broke in the first 2 weeks and is now much more pliable.When Lisa and her team tell you they can customise, they mean it! I asked if they would embroider ‘Vincit Pericula Virtus’ - the motto from the Collins family crest onto the inside of the belt she answered ‘no problem’ ! For those interested it translates to modern day English as ‘Courage conquers all’ to carry that on my black belt each day feels an honour. On the tails of the belt, I have my initials vertically and not horizontally, I liked the idea of them being a little more discreet. The other tail is the Japanese letters for jiu-jitsu.Why did I order a 2nd belt!? SUPER KNOT ! if you tie your belt with a superknot, which I started doing around purple belt and now feels like the only way I can wear it, one tail ends up on the REVERSE. I didn't realize this when I sketched it out, I designed it so the motto would face my belly and not be visible with the belt tied, what I missed was the super knot! I ran with Belt 1 for a month but it bothered me, I couldn't get used to doing the different knot, given this belt is with me for the rest of my life I decided I'd get another one. Enter…Belt 2 F-742 - I dont know why but the black core inside was calling me, and it being slightly thicker, and firmer I felt like the belt would have more presence. I have the motto inside as before, I switched D.C to Horizontal as I felt it gave this belt more ‘pop’ and for me and my super knot, it ties perfectly. Only 3 sessions on the mat so far but for me this is the ‘one’. The F-742 just feels like a proper belt, one that is going to stand the test of time, it's a level above my old coloured belts - as it should be. The black core, one day when it is exposed, in my mind only adds to its allure.Belt 1 F-450 - it's still a great belt! Belt feels great. So far so good. At 176lbs I ordered the A3. Slightly longer then I’m used to but starting to work into it.
