In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the BJJ blue belt is where fundamentals turn into instinct, the first real test of whether the basics have actually sunk in. In Karate, the blue belt karate rank marks steady, visible progress on the way toward brown and black. In Judo, the Judo blue belt reflects the same milestone, real time on the mat translating into real ability. 🧵 CUSTOM EMBROIDERY
Personalize your new martial arts blue belt with beautiful embroideries in English and in Japanese. There are six fonts to choose from and 10 different colors. We reserve about 8in 20cm of each belt end for embroideries. Long text will be resized to fit within that space.
BELT FIRMNESS & EMBROIDERY
Isami belts now come in three firmness models, so you can match the belt to how you actually train. ➡️ F-350 is slim and soft, with a lightweight, "broken-in" feel from day one. We add the embroidery to the finished belt, so the stitching sits over the belt seams and the reverse side shows a visible trail. This is what we call "non-integrated embroidery." ➡️ F-400 is thin & firm, thinner than F-700 but with more structure than F-350. ➡️ F-700 is thick and stiff, built to hold its shape and take longer to break in than F-350 or F-400. Both F-400 and F-700 feature "integrated embroidery": we embroider the fabric first and then build the belt around it. There's no trail on the reverse side, and the belt stitch lines sit over the embroidery for a cleaner finish.
📏 BELT WIDTH: 42mm, 45mm or 50mm
Now you can choose how wide your Isami Blue Belt should be. The standard belt width is 42mm (1.65in) but we also make two wider variations that are 45mm (1.80in) and 50mm (2in). This is especially popular with bigger fighters/instructors who need a belt that will match their large frame.
🚿 BELT WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
In Japan it is uncommon to wash the obi martial arts belt. However many of our international customers like to wash their belts. We recommend hand washing (with hand soap) and hang drying in the shade.
Please note that regular washing will accelerate the belt's aging process and might cause it to shrink further than estimated. It will still be functional and last for many years though.

blue belt for brazilian jiu jitsu. My new blue belt arrived last week and I’m very happy with the quality and craftsmanship! Comparing it to my previous belt, the stitching and quality of the fabrics is much more robust, and I’m sure that it will last beautifully until I get my purple belt. I had my belt embroidered with kanji and katakana, and both are very well done! I also love the hue of blue that the belt comes in, and it contrasts really well with the embroidery, which I also had done in blue. Overall, the belt is a bit pricey, and of course I can’t speak definitively on how well it will last, since I’ve only had it for about a week, but I’m so pleased and I will likely purchase all of my future belts from this company!

Great quality and great customer service. Just received my custom belt and it's a 100% premium quality belt. My belt however was too short. (I have an A1 Koral that fits) So be sure to measure the length you need. I couldn't do a return but Lisa at CS helped me out with a discount for a size up. Overall great quality and great customer service.

Belt with BJJ rank. I had been eyeing some Isami gear for a few years now. Chokesports helped me get what I wanted. No doubt I will be back for more.The quality of the belt is brilliant. It is quite thin, similar to Fuji and Mizuno, I would say. I have a some a couple others from Kusakura and VHTS and they are thicker so choose according to your preferences. This is currently my favourite belt and being made in Japan, it is an absolute bargain at this pricr! Definitely recommended.
Isami Blue Belt. Ordered the soft blue belt with plain black rank bar. The quality of materials is excellent, and the stitching on the belt, rank bar, and woven patches is all straight and clean, with no loose or missing threads.Word of caution, it is fairly thin and soft, which I know some people do not like. I prefer the softer belt because it stays tied much longer but it does feel less substantial. Order the thick belt upgrade if you want something chunkier.
good calidad. Received the package with my belt yesterday. Great quality. The belt is firm just enough and not too stiff. So it keeps the shape well and still knot don't get slipped every move unlike other brands. Awesome bright color and embroidery. Thanks indeed for good stuff.
Color of blue is a nice balance between the more common super dark or powder blue- Love the blue on my belt. Overall quality is outstanding and the flexibility to customize all aspects is fantastic. Job order time faster than expected.

The belt is well designed even if I prefer the stiff one. The soft version is working well anyway. Good product overall.

The belt is a quality product and the custom embroidery I requested was nicely done (albeit expensive). I rolled with it for the first time last night and it stayed tight. The only problem I have is with the production time and delivery: It took 2 months to get my order from start to finish. They state on their website it can take 20 days for production, and this order took well past that. Better communication on that would have been nice.

I ordered the extra stiff belt with name embroidery. The quality is good but you pay for it - it’s not cheap. The wait time is pretty long and I forgot I ordered it until the email informing me of its impending arrival. I am enjoying the belt.

Isami makes a great quality belt with nice stitching. The embroidery is high quality and looks sharp.
A bit disappointed the Isami karate black belt I purchased was excellent the Bjj blue belt looked well made the embroidery was excellent. However the belt depth was thin and reminded me or the $5 ones a home. Delivery and service was excellent Troy.

You selected our soft belt in 45mm width. This is a thin and lightweight belt, as stated in the product page. We do have a thick-stiff variation that's very similar to the Karate Black Belt you own. If you had picked the stiff model, we'd have gladly made it for you 😀️To say that your Japanese blue belt resembles a $5 belt is simply not fair. The belt you selected is carefully made by master seamstresses in Japan and not in a sweatshop in India. Our soft belts also happen to be the best selling color belts both in Japan and with our international customers.
