BELT MODEL: Which one is right for you?
➡️ F-450 — Broken-in feel, easy to tie. Slim profile with a stiff core. When it frays, the white inner core becomes visible.
➡️ F-742 — Standard thickness, firm structure. Sturdy and balanced around the waist. When it frays, the black inner core shows.
➡️ F-700 — Thickest and hardest model. Very firm and takes longest to break in. When it frays, the white inner core becomes visible.
🧵 CUSTOM EMBROIDERY
Personalize your black belt with English or Japanese embroidery. Choose from six fonts and ten thread colors. We reserve about 8in (20cm) on each belt end for embroideries. Long text is resized to fit perfectly.
INTEGRATED EMBROIDERY
This premium belt uses integrated embroidery — the most durable and professional finish. The fabric is embroidered first, then turned into a belt, meaning no messy backside trails. Stitch lines run cleanly over the embroidery for a flawless final appearance.
📏 BELT WIDTH: 42mm, 45mm, 50mm
The standard width is 42mm (1.65in), with optional upgrades to 45mm (1.80in) or 50mm (2.00in). Bigger instructors and heavyweights often choose the wider belts for a stronger visual presence.
🚿 BELT WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
In Japan it is uncommon to wash the obi martial arts belt. However many of our international customers like to wash their belts. We recommend hand washing (with hand soap) and hang drying in the shade.
Please note that regular washing will accelerate the belt's aging process and might cause it to shrink further than estimated. It will still be functional and last for many years though.
