🧼 Washing & Shrinkage
Expect Some Shrinkage: Your gi isn't pre-shrunk. It may look a bit large at first, but will adjust to the perfect size after 2-3 washes.
Washing Instructions: Wash at a maximum of 40°C. Avoid bleach to protect the fabric's integrity. Dry cleaning is safe.
👕 Drying
Hang Dry Method: Use separate hangers for the top and pants. Dry in the shade to maintain its shape.
Tumble Dry Caution: If using a tumble dryer, stop at 80% dryness to prevent excessive shrinkage. Then, hang it to finish drying.
🩸 Stain Management & Rotation
Quick Action for Stains: Wash immediately after practice if stained, especially with blood, to avoid permanent marks.
Rotation Strategy: Like many of our customers who train frequently, consider rotating multiple gis. This ensures a fresh gi for each session and extends the life of each one.

Amazing Dogi! Amazing service! Osu!. My overall experience with ChokeSports and Isami has been second to none! Very prompt and helpful responses to questions I had before putting in the order, Lisa and team are in a league of their own!Onto the gi, the Japanese quality, which I am no stranger to, is immediately apparent from the material to the workmanship. Coming from other Japanese branded traditional dogi and full contact dogi made abroad with Japanese material, the ISAMI K-500 checks all the boxes! Compared to other Japanese brands specializing in traditional dogi, the ISAMI K-500 has fewer rows of stitching at the hems of the sleeves and legs, but the stitching is as described, perfectly laid out. I find the fewer rows of stitching at the hems to be desirable for rigorous, hands on training as it tends to be softer and more flexible. Make no mistake, this is a working dogi, however it still looks very nice and sharp!The jacket has that one of a kind Japanese cotton canvas feel. It's very thick and firm while being extremely comfortable. The cut is absolutely perfect for fighting karate. The snap from executing strikes and blocks is definitely there while still allowing great comfort and mobility over more traditional styled dogi. Absence of ties, proper reinforcement and top notch material and workmanship ensure this gi will have a good long life and survive many bouts and rigorous training sessions with proper care.The pants are the best fitting and feeling dogi pants I've ever tried. Perfect cut for unrestricted movement and kicking. They are a little thicker and firmer than other (not ISAMI) full contact twill pants I've had. All while being extremely comfortable. Being an inherently softer and lighter material than the top, the snap is lessened, but still very much there.This gi is definitely up for any task and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The Isami K-500 is among the best karate gi's I have worn. I have worn the Shureido k-10 for the last ten years, but the Isami K-500 is superior in several areas: fabric, fit, and comfort. The unbleached fabric is softer right away, and the natural hue of the fabric is quite nice. The fit is excellent, with sleeves short enough to stay out of the way in sparring and drilling without alterations needed. The top length means it stays shut better than shorter tops. The pants, a lighter fabric than the top, are a soft, comfortable twill that make for easy kicking and footwork. As a fan of high quality, Japan-made clothing, this gi stands as a testament to Japanese craftsmanship in tailoring and garment making, not just a a great karate gi. This will not be my last k-500 Oyama gi. If you're on the fence: do it. I wish I had five of these in the closet!

First of all best Dogi I have ever owned. So strong and thick, yet still so easy to move in and so much room. Expertly tailored and stitched for knockdown competition. Not to mention choke sports made buying it very strait forward and easy. I highly recommend this Dogi and choke sports!

recently I ordered the Isami K-300 Mas Oyama dogi. I took the time to carefully make measurements against my current Gi to ensure the right size. Upon arrival I tried on dogi to find it far to large. I contacted Chokesport straight away and received an immediate reply suggesting that I wash the Gi as it will shrink to the measurements. I did this, and that's exactly what happened. I have to say, this is the best Dogi I've worn. The width of the pants means there's no 'grab' when kicking, the the top feels so strong and has ample space for movement. I'm very happy!
the gi is a piece of art , incredible quality, better than i even imagined. Sizing chart is quite exact so I didn't even need to fix the length of the pants as i measured before ordering and after washing measurement are exact and gi looks like it was tailored for me.quality of the fabric is inpeccable. Very stiff cotton for the top which makes the gi feel like a warrior armor and very light and soft premium cotton for the pants which makes it very light and comfortable . Cannot agree more with the person who said that this gi makes you feel the spirit of the Osu!!!
Overall very happy with my order. Embroidery was very well done and very happy with the neatness of the work. My only quire is I'm not sure the embroidery on my black Gi pants is on the back of my pants and not the front, also the front tie on my black Gi top has only one tie on the lap over and nothing to tie it to on the side. I purchased the equipment as a Christmas gift for my son. I cannot tell you if he is pleased with it as I haven't given him the gift yet. What I can tell is that the package came sooner than expected, very, very nicely packed, no damage to it. I was really impressed. This Gi is the thing that one can wear and feel like being the best Karateka in the world. Past few years I have ordered Karate Gis from Russian firms but I was not satisfied with the quality.
