Full stretch construction, a reinforced crotch panel, and a fit that stays put through five rounds of live training.
Performance Value
Full range of motion: stretch fabric through the whole short with an extra-stretch crotch panel built for high kicks and deep guard passes.
Stays in place: rubber waistband plus an internal drawstring lock in the fit through scrambles and sprawls.
Built for grappling: side slits open up hip mobility for takedowns, guard retention, and transitions.
Polyester construction holds its stretch wash after wash. The crotch panel is cut from a more elastic weave than the body of the short, so it flexes where you actually need it instead of stretching everywhere and losing shape.
Four Colorways, One Isami Standard
Contrast crotch detailing: Blue with white, White with red, Black with white, and Red with white, each with a visible two-tone panel.
Everyday training piece: an accessible entry point into Isami's line for anyone building out a rotation.
True to Isami's standard: the same stitching and construction discipline behind Isami's competition gear, at a training-short price.
These are the shorts you rotate through three times a week, not the pair you save for competition day. Isami built them to take that workload.

The shorts run true to size so no need to worry about sizing concerns on this product. As a 5'06"/165 lb/male, I usually wear a size L for products from Japan and a size M for products in the US. I also have enough room to wear spats under these shorts.

These ended up fitting better than I expected. Right out of the packaging they fit perfectly, with just a slight looseness in the waist area that allows the drawstring to get u the exact amount of tightness you want. Drawstring also works really well compared to most other athletic shorts I’ve worn. I’ve never had to stop and readjust the drawstring or waistband. 0 reason for me to buy anything but these again.

Sizing is very far off. I have a 32” waist and ordered a large and I could barely get them on, and certainly couldn’t use them for working out. Total failure.
