The Isami Tora BJJ Gi comes in standard Brazilian sizes A0–A4. Follow our detailed size chart to find your perfect fit. This gi is not pre-shrunk, but our chart lists post-wash measurements so you know exactly what to expect. Designed with a refined, competition-approved fit, the Tora Gi minimizes excess fabric and maximizes your edge on the mats.

🧼 Washing & Shrinkage
Expect Some Shrinkage: Your gi isn't pre-shrunk. It may look a bit large at first, but will adjust to the perfect size after 2-3 washes.
Washing Instructions: Wash at a maximum of 40°C. Avoid bleach to protect the fabric's integrity. Dry cleaning is safe.
👕 Drying
Hang Dry Method: Use separate hangers for the top and pants. Dry in the shade to maintain its shape.
Tumble Dry Caution: If using a tumble dryer, stop at 80% dryness to prevent excessive shrinkage. Then, hang it to finish drying.
🩸 Stain Management & Rotation
Quick Action for Stains: Wash immediately after practice if stained, especially with blood, to avoid permanent marks.
Rotation Strategy: Like many of our customers who train frequently, consider rotating multiple gis. This ensures a fresh gi for each session and extends the life of each one.

Outstanding Quality and Customer Service. I had an amazing experience with ChokeSports while traveling in Japan. I first visited the Isami store in Shinjuku to try on the Tora BJJ gi and confirm my size. After that, I reached out to Lisa at ChokeSports to see if they could deliver the Tora Gi to one of the hotels in either Shinjuku, Kyoto, or Osaka. Lisa responded quickly, like within an hour, and was incredibly helpful—she checked their inventory right away and confirmed that the gi I wanted was in stock.She created a custom order link and emailed it to me, which made it super easy to place the order right from my phone while I was still in Japan. The gi was delivered in a few days to my hotel in Osaka, exactly as promised.The gi itself is fantastic—soft, comfortable, and it looks great. Islami toro BJJ gi. Highly recommend this gi!!!! Stitching is perfect, the gi is soft and comfortable. You can tell the minute you put it on that your in something completely different. Best Gi I've owned. Haven't used the gi yet but I have inspected it thoroughly and can say the quality and attention to detail is superb. It's almost too nice to wear! The shipping to Australia was very quick too so overall a great product and shopping experience
So nice! But for the price it has to be!. This is the fourth gi I have owned and it’s definitely the best fit, softest material while also feeling strong and the coolest looking gi I have ever owned.It will certainly be a luxury that I won’t often be able to afford but something that will certainly be worth it in the years to come.One tip though, definitely check the size chart as the sizes are on the small side. I am normally an a4, but after checking against my tatami gi size chart, the isami a5 is about the same size. So I needed to order an a5.If you can afford it, everyone should own this gi!
New favourite gi ever.. Very happy with my Isami Tora double weave gi in blue. I I am 5'7" 155lbs the A1 fit me well, as most A1's will. The service was great. I also got a soft core black belt custom made in Japan with red rank bar and one degree embroidered on. The quality of my Isami gear is great. The only thing I would like to change is the pricing. With the Canadian dollar exchange rate to US pricing this gi was expensive.

I bought the Islami Tora gi for my husband as a gift and he loves it so much that I’m buying him another one in a different color. He said it’s the best gi he’s ever owned and is worth every dollar.
It was a good thing to order this gi.The Tora fits me perfectly, I feel comfortable and properly dressed for the sport.The collar is tough and I dont think its foam filled or whatnot, like many other gis.The fabric is soft and feels tough at the same time.All the stitchings are good and the hems are reinforced in a really good way.The patches are of high quality.The blue tone isnt as bright as many cheap gis are, its a nice royal blue, instead.The customer service was quick to respond to my sizing insecurities and did a good job at recomending me an A2 as a 1,76 m tall, 75 kg heavy woman. So- the size chart is probably a reliable one for most of us.So, if youre considering this gi an option, regardless of pricing and international extra customs, save up for it and be assured youre not buying a cat in the bag for it:)
It takes 4 business days for receiving my Isami Tora Double Weave Gi. This gi, is just beautiful and touched like a treasure... I’m a purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu and I have the opportunity to try so many different types of gis.. and this tora in particular the blue one is awesome .. the pants are my favorite..I don’t like rite a review without rolled the gi a list 20 times .. and i really like it .. customer service is 10 stars ..( Connor thanks again ) . is awesome how this company work so seriously.. and the shipping is extremely fast..
Im not going to lie, when I picked up my package I was not impressed to say the least, however as I opened the package and tried on the BJJ GI, it was amazing, quality and stitching and sizing was perfect fit. I've honestly never seen and felt anything like this, I have whole line up of AP/Shoyoroll gi and others. I am spoken for with the standards of craftsmanship. Thank you Isami family and Chokesports!
I had Shoyoroll, CTRL, Koral, Atama, Prana, Grips and literally Isami Tora is the best Gi for ever for me... from any single small details - there's no thread sticking out, no crooked patches - everything is like on the picture. Overall the Wave is SUPER-soft I mean really soft (and it's still double wave) in the rolling time nothing will blocks You from movement. I'm 6'2 and 200lbs - A4 fits to me almost perfectly (it will be perfect when it will be smaller for something like 3-4%) but will wash it 3-4 times in 40 degrees and it should be fine. The next Gi for me will be for 100% Isami! ALSO very important - Big Thanks to Lisa Andersen from Customer Support - the fastest way of responds EVER :D
The best gi brand out there. The gi is soft even after hang drying and it is probably the most durable. I've never had my other Isami gi`s rip in the academy/dojo while I've witnessed countless other gis rip. The new design is cool too.
I only used it once so far. The quality of the gi is awesome. If after continued use it will maintain its softness, it will be great! Their customer support is excellent, they get back to you immediately, like chatting with someone! If the quality remains after prolonged used, i will definitely buy it again.
I agree with all the satisfied customers about how this GI does not feel like a double weave at all. I own 2 double weave GIs from different manufacturers, and those feel like suits of armour before you sweat in them - and end up feeling like a 100lb weight vest as soon as you do a couple of rolls in 'em. The Tora, though, man, is something else. I would have gladly paid more for the quality and attention to detail based on what I received!
I would never imagined this to be a double weae. I would say a thick single weave. I love both the classic and tora gi. Both are of good quality. Worth every penny
