In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, and Judo alike, the ivory belt carries the same rank as a traditional white belt, the universal starting point every practitioner wears on day one. The unbleached, natural cotton tone is a deliberate finish choice, a quieter alternative to a bright white belt, not a different rank. 🧵 CUSTOM EMBROIDERY
Personalize your new martial arts ivory belt with beautiful embroideries in English and in Japanese. There are six fonts to choose from and 10 different colors. We reserve about 8in 20cm of each belt end for embroideries. Long text will be resized to fit within that space.
BELT FIRMNESS & EMBROIDERY
Isami belts now come in three firmness models, so you can match the belt to how you actually train. ➡️ F-350 is slim and soft, with a lightweight, "broken-in" feel from day one. We add the embroidery to the finished belt, so the stitching sits over the belt seams and the reverse side shows a visible trail. This is what we call "non-integrated embroidery." ➡️ F-400 is thin & firm, thinner than F-700 but with more structure than F-350. ➡️ F-700 is thick and stiff, built to hold its shape and take longer to break in than F-350 or F-400. Both F-400 and F-700 feature "integrated embroidery": we embroider the fabric first and then build the belt around it. There's no trail on the reverse side, and the belt stitch lines sit over the embroidery for a cleaner finish.

The Isami Ivory Belt comes in a standard width of 42mm (1.65in), sized to fit true to the traditional rank belt.
🚿 BELT WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
In Japan it is uncommon to wash the obi martial arts belt. However many of our international customers like to wash their belts. We recommend hand washing (with hand soap) and hang drying in the shade.
Please note that regular washing will accelerate the belt's aging process and might cause it to shrink further than estimated. It will still be functional and last for many years though.

Bueatiful, well-made belt. I love the color (unbleached looks like is has been well used and not glaringly white) and the stiffness and length (A2 for a 32" waist) are perfect. I plan on dying blue once I reach blue belt, purple for purple belt, and so forth so this is going to be my belt through the entire journey.

Ivory Belt. I have ordered a number of belts from Isami. They are the best made belts in my opinion. My only gripe though is that there is now white stitching visible through the lettering, when previously there wasn't. Otherwise, a perfect belt.

And therefore we added "integrated embroideries": we embroidered the fabric first and then we made the belt. There is no trail on the reverse side, but the belt stitch lines show over the embroidery.
