Description

🧼 Washing & Shrinkage

  • Expect Some Shrinkage: Your gi isn't pre-shrunk. It may look a bit large at first, but will adjust to the perfect size after 2-3 washes.
  • Washing Instructions: Wash at a maximum of 40°C. Avoid bleach to protect the fabric's integrity. Dry cleaning is safe.

👕 Drying

  • Hang Dry Method: Use separate hangers for the top and pants. Dry in the shade to maintain its shape.
  • Tumble Dry Caution: If using a tumble dryer, stop at 80% dryness to prevent excessive shrinkage. Then, hang it to finish drying.

🩸 Stain Management & Rotation

  • Quick Action for Stains: Wash immediately after practice if stained, especially with blood, to avoid permanent marks.
  • Rotation Strategy: Like many of our customers  who train frequently, consider rotating multiple gis. This ensures a fresh gi for each session and extends the life of each one.

Excellent addition to Karate. This is my prized karate possession. The gi is flowing enough to allow high kick but also able to allow for the snap of a thigh kick. Wish however they still do Kyokushin embroidered kanji. But glad I bought this gi!

A high quality thick dogi. I'm very satisfied with this karate gi. The quality is very good. After I wear this gi, it make me feel very comfortable during training. I like thick dogi, and its thickness and hardness is perfect for me, although it is a little bit heavy, but it is the best dogi I have worn.

The gi fits very nicely, and it's really easy to move around in; my legs aren't restricted by the trousers so kicking to head level is super easy. I'm 6'1" so naturally I ordered the size 8, rated for 6'1", my only issue is the trousers were slightly too long so I had to have them tailored but otherwise, it is the best gi I've ever worn. They're so good in fact I ordered a second one.

I have been doing traditional karate since 1987 and have tasted Kamikaze, Tokaido and Shureido. I was always a little dissatisfied. At Isami everything is to my liking. Unfortunately, the German customs has taken another 33%, which has made the purchase an expensive proposition.

Isami Karate Gi Premium

I've been wearing Tokaido dogi's from Shotokan days. This K-480 dogi provides infinitely more freedom to move about and execute Mas Oyama techniques. For example, the sleeves roll up and sit over your elbow yet your elbow is completely free so your arms can really move fast. Or the pants are a slightly different material from the top and are suited for high kicks. The roundhouse kicks fly unimpeded. 5 STARS.

I have others karate uniforms and my K-400 neet to be replaced with a new Gi. So I decided to try the Kyokushin Gi K-480K Deluxe purchasing it from ChokeSports.
