Isami Kyokushin
Official Statement: No More Isami Kyokushin Gear
ChokeSports.com and Isami Japan officially ended production and sales of all Kyokushin-branded products in 2015. This includes the iconic Isami Kyokushin gi and Kyokushin Karate belts once worn by Sosai Mas Oyama himself. If you find any “Isami Kyokushin” items for sale today, know that they are not authentic.
Sadly, the market is flooded with fake Kyokushin karate gi and belts—cheap knockoffs made in sweatshops, often using stolen photos and forged tags. We’re the original and only official international distributor of Isami martial arts gear, and we want to make sure you’re informed.

How to Avoid Fake Isami Kyokushin Gear
We constantly hear from Kyokushin practitioners who were scammed—especially by websites in Europe:
- They thought they were buying real Isami Kyokushin items.
- Instead, they received low-grade gear labeled as Kyokushin karate belts or gis.
- Many sellers use fake Isami branding and stolen ChokeSports photos.
- It’s not just dishonest—it goes against the spirit of martial arts.
Don’t fall for fakes. If a site is offering a Kyokushin gi with Isami branding, it’s a counterfeit. Only ChokeSports.com carried the real thing until it was discontinued in 2015.

Spotlight: Isami Karate Black Belt Premium
This is the best Karate Black Belt money can buy. Worn by top full-contact fighters and hand-stitched to your specs in Japan. It’s a legacy belt, not just a piece of gear.
Spotlight: Isami Karate Gi Mas Oyama
This is the most iconic Karate uniform in our collection. The original K-400 was worn by Sosai Oyama himself. He later switched to the upgraded K-500 model, calling it the most durable and comfortable Kyokushin karate gi he’d ever used.
Why We Stopped Selling Kyokushin-Branded Gear
This wasn’t an easy decision. Isami has a deep connection with Kyokushin Karate. Sosai Mas Oyama was a personal friend of Isami’s founder and proudly wore our gis and belts.
But due to ongoing trademark disputes between Kyokushin organizations in Japan, Isami Trading Co. Ltd. decided to withdraw from the Kyokushin market entirely. We chose to honor that decision and avoid the confusion and politics.
